Why “100 days of school”?
Many examples use 100 or 200 days as a simple way to think about an academic year. A “100-day” period makes percentages easy (e.g., 75% is 75 days). A “200-day” year is also common, where each day is worth 0.5%. Use the helpers to find the exact number of working days for your specific term.
Assumptions
Calculations assume all days are weighted equally. Toggling “Mon–Fri only” estimates working days by removing about 2/7ths of the total days. Holidays are subtracted from the total working days. Makeup days are added back.
